Helmer Dance Studio is celebrating it’s 28th year of dance education. Carol and Laura have over 50 years of combined teaching experience. Through these years they have developed better and better methods of teaching young children not only how to dance correctly, but to have fun at the same time. Helmer Dance studio offers something for everyone. Whether dancing competitively, or simply for fun and recreation, we believe that properly educating each dancer and properly advancing him or her at their own individual pace will serve to positively expand the imagination, build self-esteem, promote self-discipline, but most importantly, establish a positive attitude toward teamwork and cooperation with others.
At Helmer Dance Studio, our mission is to provide dance instruction in a family oriented, but disciplined environment. We have talented instructors with diverse backgrounds, all dedicated to the art of dance. Every teacher employed at the studio will be mandated to constantly upgrade her own dance and teaching skills and all teachers are required to complete the teacher training course which is specifically designed for our studio. Consequently, the dance skills and styles taught at the studio will be continually updated, and the methods of teaching will be fresh and original.
In addition to the care afforded the student in the actual class, it is necessary that the administrative staff be attentive and caring to both students and parents. It is the responsibility of the office personnel to be attuned to the needs of the studio in a supportive nature and to make the management aware of the problems and concerns of our customers.
It is our goal that all students who come through Helmer Dance Studio, whether for 1 year or for 10 years, leave positively influenced by what they have learned from our teachers. We believe in teaching more than just dance. Our students leave with lessons that will last a lifetime.
